World At War Dev Update: 6–12 October 2026
The kaiju doubles in size, both teams get a new vehicle base with roof helipads, and helicopters get new controls and tracking missiles.

World At War isn't public yet. A shorter week, focused on the kaiju, the bases and flying.
A bigger kaiju
The kaiju is now twice the size: about 365 studs tall and 677 long including its tail, with its reach scaled to match. It walks a little faster (20 studs a second instead of 15) so it doesn't look like it's in slow motion. The tip of its tail no longer jitters.
A new vehicle base
Both teams have a new base built for the bigger vehicles: one tall vehicle hall with bigger pads, and spawns right behind the motor pool consoles. A straight staircase signed "HELIPADS - ROOF" leads up to two big helipads that fit a full-size Chinook.
Helicopters
Flying was reworked again:
- The nose points straight at your cursor, up to 40° up or down.
- W is full speed and S reverses. A and D strafe, and E and Q climb and descend.
- It speeds up gradually and stops almost at once.
- Near the ground it switches to landing mode and levels to the slope.
- Hold Z (R3 on a controller) to look around without turning.
- A damaged helicopter flies slower and lower.
Tracking missiles
Helicopter missiles follow your cursor while you hold fire. Let go and they chase the enemy vehicle you fired at, with a red LOCK box over the target. The infantry RPG also steers onto your crosshair while you hold the trigger.
Tanks
- More power: tanks now push as hard as their tracks can grip instead of stalling on slopes. A Sherman holds full speed up a 35° ramp.
- Reverse is 70% of top speed.
- Full-length track links are back on all nine tracked tanks. A memory saving the week before had halved them, which made the tracks splay round the sprocket.
Also new
- Volume slider and mute in Settings, both saved.
- One vehicle that didn't fit the game's setting was taken out of the roster.
